1) William Jefferson Clinton, better known as Bill Clinton was the 42nd President of the United States from 1993 to 2001.

2) Bill Clinton was born on 19th August, 1946 in Hope, Arkansas. His father was William Jefferson Blythe Jr. and mother was Virginia Dell Cassidy. He married Hillary Rodham Clinton on October 11, 1975 and have only child, Chelsea.

3) Before becoming the president he served as the 40th Governor of Arkansas(1979-1981), and the state’s 42nd governor(1983-1992).He was the youngest governor in the country.

4) Clinton was elected President of the United States in 1992, defeating incumbent Republican opponent George H. W. Bush. He became the third-youngest president at the age of 46 and the first from the Baby Boomer generation.

5) Clinton presided over the longest period of peacetime economic expansion in American history and signed into law the North American Free Trade Agreement.

6) In 1996 Clinton became the first Democrat. Clinton passed – Welfare reform and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, as well as financial deregulation measures, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000.

7) Clinton ordered U.S. military intervention in the Bosnian and Kosovo wars, signed the Iraq Liberation Act in opposition to Saddam Hussein, and participated in the 2000 Camp David Summit to advance the Israeli–Palestinian peace process. On 20th November in 2013, Clinton was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by U.S. President Barack Obama.
